The American Institute of Architects Baton Rouge (AIA BR) is hosting a series of community meetings featuring building, insurance and mortgage and other officials to answer questions for those impacted by the floods.
Meetings are set for:
Monday, 8-29: Ascension Parish: St. John Catholic Church (Hwy. 73; Prairieville) 6:00PM
Tuesday, 8-30: Baton Rouge: Louisiana State Archives at 5:00 PM
Wednesday, 8-31: Denham Springs: Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 6:00PM
Wednesday, 8-31: Baton Rouge: Goodwood Main Library at 6:00 PM
Thursday, 9-01: Baton Rouge: Bluebonnet Library at 6:00 PM
A meeting was also held in Zachary on 8-24.
The forum style meeting will include a city building official, architect, contractor, and representatives who can answer questions about homeowners’ insurance, housing, mortgage loans the LSU Ag Center’s LaHouse Program, saving precious photos and documents, and Small Business Administration (SBA) assistance. They will provide pertinent information related to recovery and then answer questions.
